Doula Care

What I Offer

Free Interview

The Doula's role is inherently personal. You are inviting me into your sacred and vulnerable space and trusting I have your best interest at heart!

That is why it is important to see if your personalities mix well together and you feel you can be vulnerable in front of your Doula!

I will bring questions for you and I hope you will bring questions for your potential Doula!

You will not be expected to decide in the moment or sign anything, this is just a meet and greet situation lasting 45-60 minutes in a public place such as a coffee shop. Or a phone call!

Education

Knowledge is power! A Doula who is working on their certification is fresh in the birth world!

She is actively consuming childbirth education, birth support techniques, and in constant contact with a network of senior Doula's and childbirth educators in the area!

I will work with you to personalize your prenatal, labor, and postpartum knowledge with the goal of giving you power in this transformative time.

I will give you local resources and referrals to maximize your support network in your journey of parenthood.

Prenatal meetings will focus on preparing you with all available education you want and need for an empowered experience.

Birth Support

A Doula's role is being educational, physical and emotional support during labor. A Doula is a unique presence in the birth world, their support works toward empowering YOU on this sacred transition of life.

Having a Doula in the room has been proven to lower cesarean section rates, decrease sensations of pain, and shorten labor!

A Doula is the only person in a labor room who's concern is your emotional well being. Their attention is not diluted by keeping track of medical issues, or keeping you to a hospital schedule.

A Doula's goal is to remind you of your rights in the birth place, remind you to trust your body, and give you the resources to thrive.
